Dave Wyble, President and Founder of Avian Rochester, LLC
David R. Wyble is president and founder of Avian Rochester, LLC. Since 2011, Avian Rochester has been delivering color standards; traditional and custom measurements; and consulting services to the color industry. Prior to founding Avian Rochester, Wyble was a color scientist within the Munsell Color Science Laboratory, at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and before that a Member of Research & Technology Staff at Xerox Corp. He holds a BS in Computer Science and MS and PhD degrees in Color Science from RIT and Chiba University, respectively. For twenty years, he has taught short courses at professional conferences, and for industry and academia. These are all related to color measurements and color science in general, and have been targeted at all levels of audience from beginners to seasoned professionals. His latest research has been associated with several contracts from the Library of Congress, with the ultimate goal being to improve the colorimetric capture performed at the Library, and ultimately to facilitate full spectral imaging. He is a member of ISCC, IS&T, CORM, and ASTM.
