Posters may present any individual or collaborative research or art and design project related to the impact of color in art and design, science, industry or education.
Students submitting the top three posters will be provided with one-year free membership in the ISCC. Monetary awards will be based on total score from the poster and oral presentations at the Color Impact 2020 Conference.

Purpose and Scope
To encourage independent or collaborative research on subjects related to the impact of color in art and design, science, industry or education.
To enhance the color education experience.
To increase awareness of the role of color across all disciplines.
Participation
Undergraduate entries must be work completed as an undergraduate. Undergraduate work should not be from material that originated more than one year after completion of the undergraduate program.
Graduate entries must be work completed as a graduate student. Work should not be from material that originated more than one year after completion of the graduate program.
Graduate and Undergraduate students may seek the advice of persons in industry or academia. Advisors, as well as their affiliations, should be identified on the byline.
Preparation and Presentation
Each individual or group needs to complete the online entry form. Only ONE submission per group is needed!
All entrants are encouraged to join ISCC online at www.iscc.org
The preparation of the poster and other details shall be done in accordance with the requirements listed below.
The poster dimensions should be 48 in. width × 36 in. height. The limitation includes all text, figures, tables, and other matter. Use a combination of imagery and text to demonstrate any special feature(s) of the concept(s) that enhance the users’ experience.
Sketches, illustrations, and/or photos or prototypes (CAD, hand drawn, photos of actual products made, etc.) should be sharp with a resolution of 600 dpi for line art and at least 300 dpi for colored images.
Save poster as a PDF file. File size should not be more than 15 MB (please be sure to flatten your PDF to reduce the file size).
Submit poster with the entry title as the file name (NO student and university names, etc. in file name).
Any research pertinent to your concept can be used. However, if you are including inspiration photos, please limit them to no more than 25% of your poster and make sure they are your own images.
Due to copyright laws, please do not include images on your poster that you do not have specific permission to use.
Posters will be printed by ISCC. PDFs arriving later than May 15, 2020 are not eligible for consideration in the competition. We will not accept corrections once the final poster has been submitted.
Judging
Competition posters will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Board of Directors of the ISCC. Judging will be on both the submitted work and the oral presentation during poster sessions at the Color Impact 2020 Conference.
The maximum number of points is 100, which is divided according to the following criteria:
- Originality (30 points)
- Scientific/technical/artistic value (40 points)
- Appearance and aesthetics (30 points)A weighting factor of 15% will be assigned to entries from undergraduate students.
Entries with one or more graduate students will not be eligible for additional points provided by the weighting factor.
