The Colour Literacy Project: Designing an Interdisciplinary Resource for 21st Century Colour Education
Is it time to radically re-think basic colour education? The 2Oth century saw major advances in our understanding of the science, physiology, and psychology of color. New technologies are continuing to expand our knowledge of color in the 21st century. In the educational world, we now have the opportunity to introduce colour as a collaborative arts and science subject at the elementary school level in STEAM programs and at the professional level across art, science, and industry.
This session will present the goals and objectives of the recently formed Joint Committee on Colour Literacy of the Inter-Society Color Council (ISCC) and the International Colour Association (AIC).
